Brazos County Retired School Personnel
Welcome to the Brazos County Retired School Personnel website. Our organization is a local chapter of the Texas Retired Teachers Association and is for ALL retired school employees. Our next meeting will be on March 20 and we are looking forward to seeing our current members and guests.

Our 2023-24 meetings are held at First Baptist Church of Bryan, 3100 Cambridge Dr, Bryan, TX 77802. We meet at 11:30 a.m. on a designated Wednesday each month, September through May.
September, October, January, February, April and May meetings will be held on the 4th Wednesday of each month. November and March meetings will be held on the 3rd Wednesday and the December meeting will be held on the 2nd Wednesday of that month to conform to holiday schedules.
Attendance at the meetings is not required for membership, but we would love to have you come! Our monthly meeting programs are entertaining and contain important information about pertinent topics that are relevant to retirees. TRS Retirement COLA Update
Proposition 9 passed overwhelmingly! Thank you Texas voters. Most Texas Educational Retirees will now receive a much needed cost of living adjustment to their monthly pension.

As a reminder COLA payments began in January 2024. The eligibility requirements for the
Cost of Living Adjustments are:
Retired 9/01/2013 through 8/31/2020 - 2%
Retired 9/01/2001 through 8/31/2013 - 4%
Retired on or before 8/31/2001 - 6%
